{"id":61828,"date":"2026-06-25T12:11:16","date_gmt":"2026-06-25T06:41:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=61828"},"modified":"2026-06-25T12:14:35","modified_gmt":"2026-06-25T06:44:35","slug":"bharati-initiative","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/bharati-initiative\/","title":{"rendered":"BHARATI Initiative"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>BHARATI Programme Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) has successfully concluded the first cohort of BHARATI Programme.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About BHARATI Programme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">BHARATI (<\/span><b>Bharat&#8217;s Hub for Agritech, Resilience, Advancement and Incubation for Export Innovation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) is a flagship initiative of the <\/span><b>Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (<a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/agricultural-and-processed-food-products-export-development-authority-apeda\/\" target=\"_blank\">APEDA<\/a>).<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Aim:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It is aimed at fostering innovation-led growth in <\/span><b>India&#8217;s agri-food export sector.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It has been designed to <\/span><b>empower 100 agri-food startups<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, drive innovation and boost exports worth USD <\/span><b>50 billion in APEDA-scheduled products by 2030.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is structured to complement and enhance industry and <\/span><b>government-led incubation programmes<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the agriculture, food and food processing sectors.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is aligned with the Government of India\u2019s vision of an <\/span><b>Atmanirbhar Bharat, Vocal for Local, Digital India and Start-Up India.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Key Features BHARATI Programme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Focus categories:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It seeks to drive innovation in high-value categories such as <\/span><b>GI-tagged agri-products, organic foods, superfoods,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> novel processed Indian agri-foods, livestock products and AYUSH products.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Tech Focus:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It focuses on advanced technologies such <\/span><b>as AI-based quality control<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>blockchain-enabled traceability, IoT-enabled cold chains<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and agri-fintech, while addressing critical areas like innovative packaging, sustainability and sea protocols.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Targeted Challenges:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> BHARATI seeks to resolve export challenges related to product development, value addition, quality assurance, perishability, wastage and logistics.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Collaborative Ecosystem:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The programme will connect <\/span><b>agri-food innovators, tech-driven solution providers<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>SPS-TBT-focused startups<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to deliver scalable, cost-effective solutions that enhance India\u2019s global competitiveness.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Process of the Programme:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Selected startups will undergo a <\/span><b>three-month acceleration programme<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> focusing on product development, export readiness, regulatory compliance, market access and collaborative solutions to address export challenges.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source:<\/b> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleaseDetail.aspx?PRID=2277546&amp;reg=3&amp;lang=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PIB<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BHARATI Programme is a flagship initiative of the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA).
