{"id":63147,"date":"2025-09-12T15:48:35","date_gmt":"2025-09-12T10:18:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=63147"},"modified":"2025-09-12T15:48:35","modified_gmt":"2025-09-12T10:18:35","slug":"fast-track-immigration-trusted-traveller-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/fast-track-immigration-trusted-traveller-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"Fast Track Immigration-Trusted Traveller Programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Fast Track Immigration-Trusted Traveller Programme Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the Union Home Minister launched the Fast Track Immigration-Trusted Traveller Programme (FTI-TTP) at 5 more airports.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Fast Track Immigration-Trusted Traveller Programme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is an initiative to <\/span><b>speed up the Immigration clearance process<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for eligible persons from the following categories: <\/span><b>Indian Nationals and Foreign Nationals holding OCI Cards.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was first launched at Delhi\u2019s <\/span><b>IGI Airport in 2024.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Purpose:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It has been introduced with the purpose of <\/span><b>facilitating international mobility<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with faster, smoother and secure immigration clearances.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>FTI-TTP Enrollment Process<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The FTI-TTP has been <\/span><b>implemented through an online portal<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ftittp.mha.gov.in\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">https:\/\/ftittp.mha.gov.in<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To enroll in this program, applicants must register online on the portal by filling in their details and uploading the required documents.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The biometrics of registered applicants are collected at the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) or while passing through the airport.<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Immigration Clearance Process<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Boarding Pass Scan:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Registered travellers scan their boarding pass at the e-gates to retrieve flight details.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Passport Scan:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The passport is scanned to confirm the traveller\u2019s identity.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Biometric Authentication:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Biometrics is authenticated at the e-gates.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Automated Clearance:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Once verified, the e-gate opens, completing the immigration process automatically.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Validity of Registration:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It is valid until the <\/span><b>passport\u2019s expiry or five years,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> whichever comes first, with an option for renewal.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Till now, this facility has been started at <\/span><b>13 airports across the country.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Nodal agency:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The <\/span><b>Bureau of Immigration,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> under the Ministry of Home Affairs, is the nodal agency responsible for implementing the programme.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehindu.com\/news\/national\/amit-shah-launches-faster-immigration-clearance-programme-at-5-more-airports\/article70038909.ece\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">TH<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fast Track Immigration-Trusted Traveller Programme has been introduced with the purpose of facilitating international mobility with faster, smoother and secure immigration clearances.
