{"id":63724,"date":"2025-09-16T13:31:20","date_gmt":"2025-09-16T08:01:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=63724"},"modified":"2025-09-16T13:37:37","modified_gmt":"2025-09-16T08:07:37","slug":"exercise-pacific-reach-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/exercise-pacific-reach-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Exercise Pacific Reach 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Exercise Pacific Reach 2025 Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Indian Navy\u2019s latest indigenously designed and constructed Diving Support Vessel (DSV) INS Nistar is participating in Exercise Pacific Reach 2025 in Singapore. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Exercise Pacific Reach 2025<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a multinational <\/span><b>conducted in Singapore.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a <\/span><b>biennial exercise<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> which will witness participation of <\/span><b>more than 40 nations.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The exercise is mainly conducted in two phases, including the <\/span><b>harbour and sea phases.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Focus of the Exercise:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The harbour phase will involve in-depth discussions on <\/span><b>submarine rescue systems, Subject Matter Expert Exchanges<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (SMEE), a medical symposium and cross-deck visits between the participating nations.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Sea phase of the exercise would witness <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/nistar\/\" target=\"_blank\">INS Nistar<\/a> and Submarine Rescue Unit<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (E) engaging in multiple intervention and rescue operations with participating assets in the South China Sea.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Key Facts about INS Nistar<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was <\/span><b>commissioned on 18 Jul 2025.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was developed by HSL, Visakhapatnam, under the Ministry of <\/span><b>Defence\u2019s \u2018Aatmanirbhar Bharat\u2019 initiative.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The ship with its Side Scan Sonar, Work &amp; observation class ROVs and expansive deep sea diving systems will be carrying out the role of mothership (MoSHIP) for Deep Submergence Rescue Vehicle (DSRV).<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Diving and Rescue Capabilities<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Integrated Saturation Diving System (ISDS):<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Enables diver deployment at depths up to 300 meters, supporting underwater repairs, salvage, and rescue operations.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs):<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> These can be deployed for underwater surveillance and recovery missions in deep waters.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Side Scan Sonar and Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS):<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Aid in locating submerged vessels or wreckage and managing onboard systems, respectively.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Submarine Rescue System:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Especially crucial for submarine emergencies, allowing the timely and safe recovery of personnel from disabled submarines.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsonair.gov.in\/ins-nistar-joins-multinational-exercise-pacific-reach-2025-in-singapore\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">News On AIR<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Exercise Pacific Reach 2025 is a multinational conducted in Singapore.
