{"id":64187,"date":"2025-09-19T12:55:32","date_gmt":"2025-09-19T07:25:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=64187"},"modified":"2025-09-19T15:03:50","modified_gmt":"2025-09-19T09:33:50","slug":"ne-sparks-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/ne-sparks-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"NE-SPARKS Programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>NE-SPARKS Programme Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the union Minister of Development of North Eastern Region and Communications virtually interacted with school students from the North Eastern states who visited ISRO under NE-SPARKS program.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About NE-SPARKS Programme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>&#8216;North East Students&#8217; Programme for Awareness, Reach, and Knowledge on Space&#8217;<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (NE-SPARKS), is a flagship initiative supported by the Ministry of Development of North-East Region (MDoNER ) in collaboration with 8 North Eastern States.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a pioneering initiative aimed at <\/span><b>igniting curiosity and fostering awareness<\/b> <b>about space science and technology<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> among students from the North Eastern Region (NER) of India.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This programme exposes <\/span><b>Northeastern students to ISRO&#8217;s cutting-edge space technology,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with the goal of sparking interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It seeks to <\/span><b>bridge geographical and informational gaps<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by providing students with an immersive experience of India&#8217;s advancements in space research and exploration through visits to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/upsc-exam\/isro\/\" target=\"_blank\">ISRO<\/a><\/strong> Centre in Bengaluru.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The programme envisages exposure visits for <\/span><b>800 meritorious science students<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (100 from each state of NER) to premier ISRO Centres at Bengaluru.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Funding:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The program is funded by the <\/span><b>MDoNER and the state Govt. in 60:40 ratio<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> respectively.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2168192\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PIB<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NE-SPARKS Programme  is a flagship initiative supported by the Ministry of Development of North-East Region (MDoNER ) in collaboration with 8 North Eastern States.
