{"id":64603,"date":"2025-09-22T13:25:59","date_gmt":"2025-09-22T07:55:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=64603"},"modified":"2025-09-22T13:25:59","modified_gmt":"2025-09-22T07:55:59","slug":"project-vijayak","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/project-vijayak\/","title":{"rendered":"Project Vijayak"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Project Vijayak Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the Project Vijayak of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) celebrated its 15th Raising Day at Kargil, Ladakh.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Project Vijayak<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was launched by the <strong>Border<\/strong><\/span><b> Roads Organisation in<\/b> <b>2010.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It drew its <\/span><b>name from Operation Vijay,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> signifying the congruence between the Theatre of Battle and the Project Area of Responsibility.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Objective:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It was entrusted with the <\/span><b>responsibility of providing road connectivity<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the areas of <\/span><b>Kargil and Zanskar,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> which previously were under Project Himank.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project was entrusted with two strategically important lines of communication in the <\/span><b>Western Indus Corridor<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, namely, the <\/span><b>Zojila &#8211; Kargil &#8211; Leh axis<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Nimmu &#8211; Padam &#8211; Darcha axis.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This project has played a significant role <\/span><b>in strengthening the security infrastructure<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> along the LC and has also contributed positively in shaping the socio-economic landscape of the region.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Other Initiatives under Project<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It has also placed strong focus on <\/span><b>welfare of its Casual Paid Labourers.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Welfare initiatives such as insulated shelters, improved sanitation, enhanced protective gear, winter clothing, and regular health camps have been introduced to ensure safety and well-being.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2169168\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PIB<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Project Vijayak was launched by the Border Roads Organisation in 2010.
