has emerged as a winner of the Centre\u2019s Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari Award given to top performing districts under the campaign, Jal Shakti Abhiyan: Catch the Rain.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari Initiative<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was <\/span><b>launched in 2024.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Aim:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The initiative aims to <\/span><b>enhance water recharge<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> through rainwater harvesting\/aquifer recharge\/borewell recharge\/ recharge shafts etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Objective<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: To ensure that <\/span><b>every drop of water<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is conserved through <\/span><b>collective efforts,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> following a whole-of-society and whole-of-government approach.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is designed to <\/span><b>foster active participation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from all stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, industries, NGOs and resident welfare associations.<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>The initiative will ensure<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Boost in Groundwater Levels:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Capture and store rainwater and surface runoff to stabilize and increase groundwater levels,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Promotion of Water Conservation Foster<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> a culture of water conservation by engaging communities in local water resource management.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Enhancement of Climate<\/b> <b>Resilience<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Mitigate the impacts of climate change by developing storage solutions for heavy rainfall and providing a buffer against droughts.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Improvement of Water Quality: Utilizing<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> artificial recharge methods to naturally filter water as it percolates through soil layers, reducing salinity and
