text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is the <\/span><b>digital foundation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> being set up by the government to enable the rollout of <\/span><b>data-centric digital services to improve Indian agriculture <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and enable farmer empowerment.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It i<\/span><b>ntegrates farmer data, land records,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>scheme benefits <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">into a c<\/span><b>entralized digital platform.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is being<\/span><b> implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at the Centre in <\/span><b>close collaboration with the Revenue and Agriculture departments of State governments.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is an infrastructure and foundational layer that <\/span><b>enables various government and private entities to provide farmers with tailored services <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">by providing them <\/span><b>access to high-quality, validated, attested, and current data.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Thus, Agri Stack will:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Provide the right <\/span><b>support <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to farmers<\/span><b> in terms of finance and agricultural input<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">s at the right time.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Provide <\/span><b>localized and tailored early warning systems for disasters,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> including pest attacks, droughts, floods, etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Simplify government scheme benefits lifecycle<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for farmers.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Enable quick and<\/span><b> easy access to affordable finance.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Enable private participation in farmer service delivery,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> thereby increasing farmers&#8217; choices.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Enable ease of governance by <\/span><b>providing required data at the right place <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for enhanced decision-making, policy implementation, and feedback management.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Improve targeting of government benefits<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (by maximizing inclusion and minimizing exclusion and fraud).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Building Blocks of Agri Stack<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Farmer and Farmland Registries:<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the center of Agri Stack is a <\/span><b>Farmer Registry,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> a <\/span><b>federated registry of all the farmers in the country, compiled by States<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> according to common standards, and cached by the Centre.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Each farmer<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be assigned a <\/span><b>unique FarmerID<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (a functional ID, based on Aadhaar as per IndEA 2.0) and a <\/span><b>digitally verifiable credential.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Farmer Registry will be <\/span><b>dynamically linked to their farmland plot records <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for non-legal, planning and advisory, and scheme-delivery purposes only.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Unified Farmer Service Interface (UFSI):<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is the building block that enables<\/span><b> interoperability across stakeholders in Agri Stack.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">UFSI is envisioned <\/span><b>to be used by government and authorized private users, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">such as Banks, Agri-Techs, agriculture value-chain companies, etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">UFSI will enable a c<\/span><b>enter-state federation of data,<\/b> <b>authorized and consent-brokered access to the core registries&#8217; data<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and standards-based interactions between various public and private stakeholders.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Crop sown Registry:<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is designed to be a federated registry of<\/span><b> crops being sown and grown across the country every season, on every farm, by each farmer.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It aims to streamline and improve previously prevalent paper-based methods of surveying crops by introducing <\/span><b>smartphone- and image-based <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(including drone and satellite images in the future), <\/span><b>more fool-proof methods of crop survey.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Agri Stack Sandbox:<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a subset of the Agri Stack that will <\/span><b>provide a simulated environment with access to the UFSI along with sample data<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for the various registries and databases to authorized stakeholders.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Purpose<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: To allow them to <\/span><b>test and safely fail, or succeed and get fully authorized access to the production environments.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Consent Manager:<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Consent Manager<\/span><b> facilitates data-blind sharing of personal data only with persons<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\/entities<\/span><b> for whom the data principal (i.e., a farmer) has provided consent. <\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;
