{"id":6579,"date":"2025-03-07T11:13:35","date_gmt":"2025-03-07T05:43:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=6579"},"modified":"2025-03-27T15:42:48","modified_gmt":"2025-03-27T10:12:48","slug":"parvatmala-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/parvatmala-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"Parvatmala Programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Parvatmala Pariyojana Latest News<\/h2>\n<p>The union cabinet recently approved two major ropeway projects- Govindghat to Hemkund Sahib Ji (12.4 km) and Sonprayag to Kedarnath (12.9 km)- in Uttarakhand, which will be developed under National Ropeways Development Programme \u2013 Parvatmala Pariyojana.<\/p>\n<h2>About Parvatmala Pariyojana<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The National Ropeways Development Programme, known as the \u2018Parvatmala Pariyojana\u2019, was <strong>announced in the 2022-23 Union Budget.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Under the Parvatmala Pariyojana, the <strong>Ministry of Road Transport and Highways envisages the <\/strong>provision of safe, economical, convenient, efficient, <strong>self-sustainable &amp; world-class ropeway infrastructure<\/strong> providing first- and last-mile connectivity to improve logistics efficiency in India.<\/li>\n<li>The programme aims to improve connectivity and convenience <strong>for commuters in hilly regions and to decongest urban areas <\/strong>where the conventional mode of transport is saturated or not feasible.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>The aim is to improve connectivity and convenience for commuters, besides <strong>promoting tourism.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>For the development of ropeway infrastructure in dense forests, in urban areas, and in difficult terrains, the <strong>ministry is collaborating with various state governments\/UT administrations.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The Centre has identified more than 200 projects at a cost of Rs 1.25 lakh crore under the programme.<\/li>\n<li>The projects are being <strong>implemented through Public-Private Partnership <\/strong>with around <strong>60% contribution support by the Government of India.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Implementing Agency:\u00a0<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>National Highways Logistics Management Limited (NHLML)<\/strong> has been mandated by the ministry to implement the project.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>It is a <strong>100% owned SPV of the National Highways Authority of India<\/strong> (NHAI).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Parvatmala Pariyojana FAQs<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Q1<\/strong>.
