{"id":66755,"date":"2025-10-06T13:00:58","date_gmt":"2025-10-06T07:30:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=66755"},"modified":"2025-10-06T15:32:09","modified_gmt":"2025-10-06T10:02:09","slug":"exercise-konkan-25","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/exercise-konkan-25\/","title":{"rendered":"Exercise KONKAN-25"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Exercise KONKAN-25 Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, Exercise KONKAN-25 commenced on 05 Oct 2025, off the western coast of India.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Exercise KONKAN-25<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a <\/span><b>bilateral naval exercise<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> between the Indian Navy and Royal Navy of UK.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The exercise will be <\/span><b>conducted in two phases.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>harbour phase<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the Exercise will include professional interactions between naval personnel, cross deck visits, sports fixtures, and cultural engagements.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>sea phase<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will encompass complex maritime operational drills focusing <\/span><b>on anti-air, anti-surface, and anti-submarine exercises<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, flying operations and other seamanship evolutions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Both participating nations will deploy frontline assets, including aircraft carriers, destroyers, frigates, submarines, and integral and shore based air assets.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Indian side will be represented by the carrier battle group of the <\/span><b>indigenous aircraft carrier <a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/upsc-exam\/ins-vikrant\/#:~:text=INS%20Vikrant%20is%20India's%20largest,capable%20of%20carrying%2036%20aircraft.&amp;text=%2B-,Ans.,as%20of%20April%2029%2C%202025.\" target=\"_blank\">INS Vikrant<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in company with other surface, sub-surface and air combatants.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This exercise is a reaffirmation of the shared commitment to ensuring <\/span><b>secure, open and free seas<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and will exemplify the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership outlined in \u2018India-UK Vision 2035\u2019.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Significance:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Exercise Konkan 2025 will serve as a platform to consolidate strategic ties, enhance interoperability and contribute to regional maritime stability.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2175054\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PIB<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Exercise KONKAN-25 is a bilateral naval exercise between the Indian Navy and Royal Navy of UK.
