{"id":67762,"date":"2025-10-10T12:49:03","date_gmt":"2025-10-10T07:19:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=67762"},"modified":"2025-10-10T12:49:03","modified_gmt":"2025-10-10T07:19:03","slug":"saksham-system","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/saksham-system\/","title":{"rendered":"SAKSHAM System"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>SAKSHAM System Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Indian Army has initiated procurement of the indigenously developed \u2018Saksham\u2019 Counter-Unmanned Aerial System (CUAS) Grid System.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About SAKSHAM System<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>Situational Awareness for Kinetic Soft and Hard Kill Assets Management<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (SAKSHAM) is an indigenously developed <\/span><b>Counter-Unmanned Aerial System<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (UAS) Grid System.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a modular, high-end Command and Control (C2) system operating on the secure <\/span><b>Army Data Network (ADN).\u00a0\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ensures comprehensive <\/span><b>airspace security across<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the newly defined Tactical Battlefield Space (TBS), which now includes the Air Littoral (airspace up to <\/span><b>3,000 metres, or 10,000 feet<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, above ground level).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is developed by Bharat<\/span><b> Electronics Limited (BEL).<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Features of SAKSHAM System<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Real time detection and tracking:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It is designed to detect, track, identify, and neutralise <\/span><b>hostile drones and unmanned aerial systems in real time.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Integrated Recognised UAS Picture:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It creates a <\/span><b>real-time, integrated Recognised UAS Picture<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (RUASP) for commanders, merging sensor data, counter-drone systems, and AI-driven analytics.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>AI-enabled predictive analysis:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It consists of <\/span><b>real-time threat detection and AI-enabled predictive analysis<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, integration of CUAS sensors and weapons for synchronised response, automated decision support and 3D battlefield visualization.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It can <\/span><b>integrate its own as well as hostile UAS data<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, C-UAS sensors, and soft- and hard-kill systems on a common GIS-based platform.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The system will also receive <\/span><b>inputs from the Akashteer System<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, further enhancing situational awareness by mapping all airspace users; friendly, neutral, or hostile; within the combat zone.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source:<\/b> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehindu.com\/news\/national\/indian-army-inducts-indigenous-saksham-counter-uas-grid-to-secure-tactical-battlefield-space\/article70143459.ece\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">TH<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SAKSHAM System  is a modular, high-end Command and Control (C2) system operating on the secure Army Data Network (ADN).
