{"id":68866,"date":"2025-10-14T14:33:31","date_gmt":"2025-10-14T09:03:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=68866"},"modified":"2025-10-14T14:52:25","modified_gmt":"2025-10-14T09:22:25","slug":"leaps-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/leaps-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"LEAPS 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>LEAPS 2025 Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the Union Minister for Commerce and Industry launched the Logistics Excellence, Advancement, and Performance Shield (LEAPS) 2025 in New Delhi.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About LEAPS 2025<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LEAPS is a flagship initiative of the <\/span><b>Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (DPIIT) under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Aim:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It aims to <\/span><b>benchmark logistics excellence<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, strengthen India\u2019s competitiveness, and align with the vision of the <\/span><b>National Logistics Policy (NLP) and PM GatiShakti.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LEAPS 2025 has been conceptualized to acknowledge and celebrate best practices, innovation, and leadership within India\u2019s logistics industry.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It covers a wide spectrum of <\/span><b>logistics players<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2014 including <\/span><b>air, road, sea, and rail freight operators; warehousing;<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> multimodal transporters; MSMEs; Startups; and Academia.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The initiative also <\/span><b>emphasizes sustainability,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices, and Green Logistics, encouraging collaboration between Government, Industry, and Academia to enhance efficiency, transparency, and resilience in the logistics ecosystem.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>What is PM Gati Shakti?<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It aims to <\/span><b>understand current gaps in logistics connectivity<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and facilitate the development of logistics infrastructure (creating connectivity between roadways, rail transport, waterways, and air transport) so as to reduce logistics costs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The programme has an <\/span><b>estimated cost of \u20b9100 trillion.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source:<\/b> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2178621\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PIB<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LEAPS 2025 is a flagship initiative of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
