first time in Telangana\u2019s Kawal Tiger Reserve.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Hygrocybe Pellucida<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a <\/span><b>fungi species<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> characterised by their bright, waxy, and often vividly coloured fruiting bodies.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Habitat:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It is typically found in unimproved grasslands, mossy forest floors, and other nutrient-poor habitats and commonly known for wax cups.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was described as a new species in the <\/span><b>Hygrophoraceae family from Kerala during 2024.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The genus <\/span><b>Hygrocybe<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is a well-known genera of agarics with <\/span><b>350 listed species and distributed worldwide.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Key Facts about Kawal Tiger Reserve<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Location:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It is located in the <strong>Telangana State<\/strong> along the banks of river Godavari, forming part of the Deccan peninsula-central highlands.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The reserve is nestled in the <\/span><b>Sahyadri Mountain Ranges.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The government of India declared Kawal Wildlife Sanctuary a Tiger Reserve in 2012.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Rivers:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The reserve is the catchment for the <\/span><b>rivers Godavari and
