{"id":69812,"date":"2026-01-03T11:52:21","date_gmt":"2026-01-03T06:22:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=69812"},"modified":"2026-01-03T12:43:58","modified_gmt":"2026-01-03T07:13:58","slug":"skilling-for-ai-readiness-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/skilling-for-ai-readiness-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"Skilling for AI Readiness (SOAR) Programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Skilling for AI Readiness (SOAR) Programme Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the President of India graced a special programme under SOAR initiative.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Skilling for AI Readiness (SOAR) Programme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is an initiative of the <\/span><b>Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (MSDE).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Aim:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It aims to <\/span><b>integrate artificial intelligence learning<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> into India\u2019s <\/span><b>school education<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and training ecosystem, preparing both <\/span><b>students and teachers<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for a rapidly evolving digital world.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It has a vision to <\/span><b>position India as a global leader in AI<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by preparing its youth for AI-driven careers and entrepreneurial ventures.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Features of Skilling for AI Readiness (SOAR) Programme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Target:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It focuses on <\/span><b>school students from classes 6 to 12<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and educators across India.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Course:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It offers three <\/span><b>targeted 15-hour modules<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for students and a 45-hour module for teachers.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These courses introduce <\/span><b>foundational AI<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>machine learning concepts,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> along with data literacy and the ethical use of technology.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Funding:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> To this government <\/span><b>provided \u20b9500 crore<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to establish a <\/span><b>Centre of Excellence<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in Artificial Intelligence for Education.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The centre will focus on <\/span><b>developing AI-based learning tools<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, promoting multilingual AI resources for Indian languages, and fostering innovative classroom practices.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It will also <\/span><b>strengthen AI curriculum development<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> across technical institutions and complement existing efforts by IITs and AICTE-approved colleges that already offer advanced courses in machine learning, deep learning, and data analytics.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source:<\/b> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2209830&amp;reg=3&amp;lang=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PIB<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Skilling for AI Readiness (SOAR) Programme is an initiative of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE).
