text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Launched in 2021,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> PM-ABHIM is one of India\u2019s largest <\/span><b>pan-national programmes <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">aimed at <\/span><b>developing a resilient, accessible, and self-reliant public health system.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a <\/span><b>Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS) with some Central Sector Components (CS), <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">which has an outlay of Rs. 64,180 crores for the scheme period (<\/span><b>2021-22 to 2025-26).<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Mission focuses on <\/span><b>strengthening health infrastructure from the grassroots to the district level<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> through the establishment and upgradation of <\/span><b>Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (AAMs), Block Public Health Units, Integrated District Public Health Labs,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Critical Care Hospital Blocks in every district.\u00a0<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These facilities aim to bridge service delivery gaps and ensure comprehensive primary, secondary, and critical care closer to communities.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PM-ABHIM also <\/span><b>prioritises pandemic and disaster preparedness <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">by expanding an <\/span><b>IT-enabled, real-time disease surveillance network<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that <\/span><b>integrates laboratories<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at block, district, regional, and national levels to detect, investigate, and prevent outbreaks effectively.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additionally,<\/span><b> it promotes health research and innovation, particularly on COVID-19 and other infectious diseases<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, by advancing the One Health approach, which recognises the interdependence of human, animal, and environmental health.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Mission also aims to fill critical gaps in both urban and rural areas by creating <\/span><b>Urban Health and Wellness Centres (AAM) in slum areas<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>converting Sub-Centres into AAMs.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;
