Odisha Government<\/strong> in December 2018, <strong>to reduce poverty and accelerate agricultural prosperity.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The KALIA scheme <strong>supports cultivators, small farmers and landless agricultural labourers.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It provides<strong> payments to farmers to encourage cultivation and associated activities.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Benefits<\/strong>:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Assistance for cultivation:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>It gives financial assistance of Rs.25,000 for a farm family (small and marginal farmers) over five seasons to purchase inputs like fertilisers, seeds and pesticides.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The farm family can also use the financial assistance towards labour and other investments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Assistance for livelihood:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>The assistance for livelihood provides<strong> financial assistance of Rs.12,500 to all landless agricultural households for allied agricultural activities <\/strong>like mini-layer units, small goat rearing units, duckery units, mushroom cultivation, fishery kits for fisherman and bee-keeping, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Assistance for vulnerable agricultural household:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>The vulnerable cultivators or landless agricultural labourers will get financial assistance of Rs.10,000 per family every year to enable them to take care of their sustenance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Life insurance for cultivators and landless agricultural labourers:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>It provides a <strong>life insurance cover of Rs.2 lakh <\/strong>to cultivators and landless agricultural labourers between 18-50 years.<\/li>\n<li>It also provides a <strong>personal accident cover of Rs.2 lakh.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Interest-free crop loan:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The KALIA scheme will provide <strong>crop loans up to Rs.50,000 at 0% interest <\/strong>for the vulnerable landless labourers, sharecroppers, cultivators, and agricultural families identified by Gram Panchayats.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1)\u00a0What is the PM Kisan Scheme?<\/h3>\n<p>PM Kisan is a Central Sector scheme with 100% funding from Government of India.Under the scheme an income support of 6,000\/- per year in three equal installments will be provided to all land holding farmer families.The fund will be directly transferred to the bank accounts of the
