{"id":71053,"date":"2026-01-28T11:42:01","date_gmt":"2026-01-28T06:12:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=71053"},"modified":"2026-01-28T13:09:38","modified_gmt":"2026-01-28T07:39:38","slug":"model-youth-gram-sabha","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/model-youth-gram-sabha\/","title":{"rendered":"Model Youth Gram Sabha"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Model Youth Gram Sabha Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Ministry of Panchayati Raj in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, is jointly organizing a National Award Ceremony to felicitate the winners of the Model Youth Gram Sabha.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Model Youth Gram Sabha<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a <\/span><b>simulated forum<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for <\/span><b>School Children<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to participate in <\/span><b>mock Gram Sabha sessions.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Purpose:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It is a pioneering initiative to strengthen Janbhagidari and <\/span><b>promote<\/b> <b>participatory local governance<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by engaging students in simulated Gram Sabha sessions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is an initiative <\/span><b>based on the Model UN<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 an educational simulation of the United Nations \u2013 in schools across the country<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is an <\/span><b>initiative of the Ministry of Panchayati Raj<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, in collaboration with the <\/span><b>Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Implementation: It will be rolled out across more than 1,000 schools nationwide, including Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRSs), and State Government Schools.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Key Features of Model Youth Gram Sabha<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Focus:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Students from <\/span><b>classes 9-12<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will play the roles of sarpanch, ward members, and village-level officials, including village secretary, Anganwadi worker etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They will hold mock meetings of the Gram Sabha, discuss various issues, and prepare the village budget and development plans.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Financial Support:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The Panchayati Raj Ministry also provides a support of Rs 20,000 to each school for holding the mock Gram Sabha.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source:<\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2219223&amp;reg=3&amp;lang=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> <strong>PIB<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Model Youth Gram Sabha is a simulated forum for School Children to participate in mock Gram Sabha sessions.
