Honey Mission (NBHM) launched in 2021 by the Government of India which is driving the ambitious &#8220;Sweet Revolution\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About National Beekeeping and Honey Mission<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a <\/span><b>Central Sector Scheme<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> launched by the Government of India.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It focuses on<\/span><b> overall promotion and development<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of <\/span><b>scientific beekeeping<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and the production of quality honey and other beehive products.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is <\/span><b>implemented<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> through <\/span><b>the National Bee Board<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (NBB).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Funding:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 <\/span><b>\u20b9500 crore<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for three years (2020\u201321 to 2022\u201323) and has been extended for another <\/span><b>three years<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (2023\u201324 to 2025\u201326).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is being <\/span><b>implemented through 3 Mini Missions<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (MMs)<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Mini Mission-I:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Under this Mission, thrust will be given on <\/span><b>production &amp; productivity improvement of various crops<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> through pollination assisted by adoption of scientific beekeeping;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Mini Mission-II:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> This Mission will concentrate <\/span><b>on post-harvest management of beekeeping\/beehive products<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> including collection, processing, storage, marketing, value addition, etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Mini Mission-III:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> This Mission will concentrate on <\/span><b>research &amp; technology generation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for different regions\/states\/agro-climatic and socio-economic conditions.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Objectives of National Beekeeping and Honey Mission<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Income &amp; employment generation:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Promoting holistic growth of the beekeeping industry for providing livelihood support to farm and non-farm households.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Infrastructure Development:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Developing additional infrastructural facilities for developing quality <\/span><b>nucleus stock of honeybees<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, multiplication of stock by bee breeders and post-harvest and marketing infrastructures.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Quality Control:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Setting up of <\/span><b>state-of-the-art Labs for testing of honey<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &amp; other beehive products at regional levels and Mini\/Satellite Labs at district levels.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Traceability:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> To develop <\/span><b>blockchain\/ traceability system<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for of source of honey &amp; other beehive products and using IT tools in beekeeping, including online registration, etc.;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Skill Development:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> To promote, develop and disseminate latest technologies and skill development in beekeeping industry for production of honey &amp;
