{"id":72929,"date":"2025-11-11T12:45:21","date_gmt":"2025-11-11T07:15:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=72929"},"modified":"2025-11-11T17:15:22","modified_gmt":"2025-11-11T11:45:22","slug":"exercise-mitra-shakti-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/exercise-mitra-shakti-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Exercise MITRA SHAKTI-2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Exercise MITRA SHAKTI-2025 Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The \u201cExercise MITRA SHAKTI-2025\u201d is being conducted at Foreign Training Node, Belagavi, Karnataka.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Exercise MITRA SHAKTI-2025<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is the eleventh edition of joint military <\/span><b>exercise between India and Sri Lanka.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Aim:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> To jointly rehearse conduct of <\/span><b>Sub Conventional Operations<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> under Chapter VII of United Nations Mandate.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Participating Forces from India:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The Indian contingent is being represented <\/span><b>mainly by troops from the RAJPUT Regiment and <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">personnel from the Indian<\/span><b> Air Force<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are also participating in the exercise.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Key Highlights of Exercise MITRA SHAKTI \u2013 2025<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The scope of the exercise includes <\/span><b>synergising joint responses<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> during counter-terrorist operations.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Both sides will practice tactical actions such as <\/span><b>raid, search and destroy missions<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, heliborne operations, etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It will also involve <\/span><b>employment of Drones<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and Counter<a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/upsc-exam\/drones-technology-drones-and-uavs\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong> Unmanned Aerial Systems<\/strong><\/a> besides helicopters.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It also involves drills to <\/span><b>secure helipads<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and undertake casualty <\/span><b>evacuation during counter-terrorist operations <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">will also be rehearsed jointly by both sides.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Both sides will exchange views and practices of joint drills on a wide spectrum of combat skills.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Significance:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Sharing of best practices will further enhance the level of defence cooperation between Indian Army and Sri Lankan Army.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2188370\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PIB<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Exercise MITRA SHAKTI-2025 is the eleventh edition of joint military exercise between India and Sri Lanka.
