{"id":7323,"date":"2022-11-05T04:36:41","date_gmt":"2022-11-04T23:06:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=7323"},"modified":"2025-03-28T19:59:52","modified_gmt":"2025-03-28T14:29:52","slug":"mathura-vrindavan-pilgrimage-centre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/mathura-vrindavan-pilgrimage-centre\/","title":{"rendered":"Mathura-Vrindavan Pilgrimage Centre"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About Mathura-Vrindavan Pilgrimage Centre:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Tourist vehicles will be banned from the entire Braj region, which includes famous pilgrim centres such as Vrindavan and Krishna Janmabhoomi.<\/li>\n<li>Instead, only electric vehicles used as public transport will be allowed into the area.<\/li>\n<li>All 252 waterbodies and 24 forests in the area will also be revived.<\/li>\n<li>According to the plan, the Braj region\u2019s annual pilgrim-tourist footfall is expected to multiply from the current level of 2.3 crore to six crore by 2041.<\/li>\n<li>To attain a net zero carbon emission status, greenhouse gas emissions must be reduced to as close to zero as possible, with any remaining emissions re-absorbed from the atmosphere, by oceans and forests for instance.<\/li>\n<li>To facilitate this in Mathura-Vrindavan, the plan divides the entire region into four clusters, each containing two of the eight key cities.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>The plan proposes to form small circuits called \u2018Parikrama Paths\u2019 which the pilgrim can undertake either on foot or using electric vehicles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Mathura-Vrindavan:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>It is located on the banks of the river\u00a0<strong>Yamuna<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>It is situated the birthplace of Lord Krishna.<\/li>\n<li>The entire land is dotted with magnificent temples, dedicated to various aspects of his life.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li><strong>Some of the famous temples are:Govind Dev Temple, Rangaji Temple, Dwarikadhish Temple, Bankey Bihari Temple and the ISKCON Temple.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Gokul, Barsana and Goverdhan<\/strong>\u00a0are the other township associated with the legend of Lord Krishna.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Source :\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/epaper.thehindu.com\/Home\/ShareArticle?OrgId=G98AFN3NE.1&amp;imageview=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">The Hindu<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It is located on the banks of the river Yamuna.
