{"id":7339,"date":"2026-06-10T12:19:44","date_gmt":"2026-06-10T06:49:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=7339"},"modified":"2026-06-10T14:44:11","modified_gmt":"2026-06-10T09:14:11","slug":"national-sc-st-hub-scheme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/national-sc-st-hub-scheme\/","title":{"rendered":"National SC-ST Hub Scheme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>National SC-ST Hub Scheme Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Ministry of Micro, Small &amp; Medium Enterprises is promoting inclusive entrepreneurship through the National SC-ST Hub Scheme.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About National SC-ST Hub Scheme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was <\/span><b>launched in October 2016.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is one of the flagship schemes of the Ministry<\/span><b> of Micro, Small &amp; Medium Enterprises<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is aimed at capacity enhancement of <\/span><b>Schedule Caste &#8211; Schedule Tribe<\/b> <b>entrepreneurs<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and promoting &#8220;entrepreneurship culture&#8221; amongst the SC-ST population.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Implementation:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It is implemented by the <\/span><b>National Small Industries Corporation Ltd. (NSIC).<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The NSSH scheme <\/span><b>supports purchase of plant &amp; machinery\/equipment<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">; capacity building &amp; training, market linkage, facilitation for participation in exhibitions, credit, Udyam registration and GeM onboarding.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Functions of the scheme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To <\/span><b>encourage SC\/ST owned units<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to be <\/span><b>part of 4% of total procurement<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> being made by Central\/State Governments, CPSEs and other government agencies<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To <\/span><b>prepare strategy for intervention<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> through industry associations to sensitize, encourage and enable the SC\/ST owned units for participation in Public Procurement Process<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Facilitating SC\/ST Entrepreneurs<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to be part of <\/span><b>vendor development<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> programs and mentoring support by specific CPSE matching the products\/services of such entrepreneurs<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Capacity building<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of existing and prospective SC\/ST entrepreneurs through skill development programs<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Sharing of SC\/ST MSEs data<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with CPSEs to enhance the procurement from SC\/ST<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Undertaking outreach activities for the promotion of the scheme among SC\/ST population<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Significance:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> These initiatives are fostering inclusive economic growth, promoting self-reliance and strengthening the MSME ecosystem by creating greater opportunities across India.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2270639&amp;reg=48&amp;lang=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PIB<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>National SC-ST Hub Scheme is one of the flagship schemes of the Ministry of Micro, Small &#038; Medium Enterprises.
