They are given preference in military service over normal candidates during selections.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Background:<\/strong>It came into existence in 1948 under the National Cadet Corps Act, 1948.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Related Ministries:Defence Ministry<\/strong>\u00a0deals with NCC at the National level.\u00a0<strong>Education Ministry<\/strong>\u00a0deals with NCC in all States.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Directorate General NCC:<\/strong>It is the national level HQ located at New Delhi.
