Data Governance was held in New Delhi.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Asian and Pacific Centre for Development of Disaster Information Management<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a regional institution of the <\/span><b>United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Vision:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> To ensure <\/span><b>effective disaster risk information<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is produced and used for sustainable development in <\/span><b>Asia and the Pacific<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Mandate:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> To <\/span><b>reduce human and material losses<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> due to natural hazards and contribute to the effective design, investment and implementation of disaster risk reduction and resilience policies.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Governance: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is governed by a Governing Council consisting of <\/span><b>eight ESCAP member<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> countries elected for a <\/span><b>period of three years (India is one of the members <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for a period from 2022 to 2025).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Headquarter:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Tehran, Iran.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Functions of Asian and Pacific Centre for Development of Disaster Information Management<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li
