{"id":74975,"date":"2025-11-25T13:07:49","date_gmt":"2025-11-25T07:37:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=74975"},"modified":"2025-11-25T15:29:10","modified_gmt":"2025-11-25T09:59:10","slug":"information-security-education-and-awareness-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/information-security-education-and-awareness-project\/","title":{"rendered":"Information Security Education and Awareness Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Information Security Education and Awareness Project Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) launched the Cyber Security Innovation Challenge (CSIC) 1.0 under the Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA) Project of MeitY.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Information Security Education and Awareness Project<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is an initiative of the Ministry<\/span><b> of Electronics and Information Technology<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (MeitY), Government of India.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It <\/span><b>was started in 2005<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and currently in its third phase since Oct. 2023 onwards.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Purpose: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Generating human resources in the area of <\/span><b>Information Security<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and creating <\/span><b>general awareness<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on <\/span><b>cyber hygiene<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\/cyber security among the masses.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Aim:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It is aimed at <\/span><b>human resources development<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for safe, trusted, and <\/span><b>secure cyber space.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Implementation of Information Security Education and Awareness Project<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project is implemented through select 50 institutions in <\/span><b>a hub-n-spoke mode,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> comprising:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Premier Academic Institutions<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> i.e. IITs, NITs, IIITs, etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Autonomous Organizations<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of MeitY i.e. <a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/what-is-the-centre-for-development-of-advanced-computing-c-dac\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>C-DAC<\/strong><\/a> &amp; NIELIT<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"2\"><b>Technical Universities<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Key Facts about Cyber Security Innovation Challenge (CSIC) 1.0<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is an initiative of the <\/span><b>Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (MeitY)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was launched <\/span><b>for students and researchers<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to work <\/span><b>upon real-world cyber challenges<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is strategically designed to <\/span><b>foster indigenous, research-driven cyber security<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> solutions from the academic ecosystem.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Innovation Challenge would focus on <\/span><b>problem statements across 10 domains;<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Computer &amp; Network Security; Mobile Device Security; Systems &amp; Software Security; Hardware Security; Security in Futuristic Technologies; <\/span><b>Cryptography;<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Security in Distributed Wireless Networks; Cyber Forensics; Governance, Operations &amp; Services; and <\/span><b>Fintech Security.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2193695\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PIB<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Information Security Education and Awareness Project is an initiative of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India.
