{"id":7595,"date":"2025-11-18T12:00:21","date_gmt":"2025-11-18T06:30:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=7595"},"modified":"2025-11-18T13:38:42","modified_gmt":"2025-11-18T08:08:42","slug":"national-gopal-ratna-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/national-gopal-ratna-award\/","title":{"rendered":"National Gopal Ratna Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>National Gopal Ratna Awards Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying recently announced the winners of the National Gopal Ratna Awards (NGRA) 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About National Gopal Ratna Awards<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NGRA are the <\/span><b>country\u2019s highest honours<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the <\/span><b>livestock and dairy sector.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was <\/span><b>constituted by the Department of Animal Husbandry, and Dairying<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> under the <\/span><b>Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was launched <\/span><b>under the Rashtriya Gokul Mission in 2021<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Objective<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: It aims to <\/span><b>encourage excellence among milk-producing farmers, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">dairy <\/span><b>cooperatives<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>Milk Producer Companies (MPCs), <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dairy Farmer Producer Organizations (<\/span><b>FPOs<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">), and<\/span><b> Artificial Insemination Technicians (AITs).<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The NGRA will be conferred in the following <\/span><b>categories<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Best Dairy farmer rearing indigenous cattle\/buffalo <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">breeds (list of registered breeds Annexed).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Best Dairy Cooperative Society (DCS)\/ Milk Producer Company (MPC)\/Dairy Farmer Producer Organization (FPO).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Best Artificial Insemination Technician (AIT).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is also a provision of<\/span><b> Special award for the North Eastern Region (NER) and Himalayan States<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> so as to encourage and boost the dairy development activities in these States\/UTs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Award consists of a cash prize of <\/span><b>Rs. 5 lakh for 1st rank, Rs. 3 lakh for 2nd rank, Rs. 2 lakh for 3rd rank<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Rs. 2 lakh for Special Award for North Eastern Region,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> along with a Certificate of merit and a memento in the first two categories i.e Best Dairy Farmer and Best DCS\/FPO\/MPCs.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the Best Artificial Insemination Technician (AIT) category, NGA will consist of a Certificate of merit and a memento.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/ddnews.gov.in\/en\/national-gopal-ratna-awards-2025-announced-felicitation-on-november-26-during-national-milk-day-celebrations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">DDN<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>National Gopal Ratna Awards (NGRA) are the country\u2019s highest honours in the livestock and dairy sector.
