{"id":76516,"date":"2025-12-05T13:15:02","date_gmt":"2025-12-05T07:45:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=76516"},"modified":"2025-12-05T16:11:50","modified_gmt":"2025-12-05T10:41:50","slug":"icgs-vigraha","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/icgs-vigraha\/","title":{"rendered":"ICGS Vigraha"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>ICGS Vigraha Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, Indian Coast Guard Ship (ICGS) Vigraha undertook an operational visit to Indonesia as part of its overseas deployment to ASEAN countries.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About ICGS Vigraha<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is the <\/span><b>Offshore Patrol Vessels<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the Indian Coast Guard which is commissioned in\u00a0 2021.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is indigenously built <\/span><b>by L&amp;T Ship Building Limited.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is based in Visakhapatnam &amp; operates on the eastern seaboard.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Features of ICGS Vigraha<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is designed to carry <\/span><b>one twin-engine Helicopter<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &amp; four high speed boats.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Displacement Capacity:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The ship displaces approx. 2200 tons (GRT).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Propulsion:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It is propelled by two 9100 KW diesel engines.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Speed:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> 26 knots with endurance of 5000 nm.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Equipment: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is also equipped with <\/span><b>Integrated Bridge System<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (IBS), Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS), <\/span><b>Automated Power Management System<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (APMS) and High-Power External Firefighting (EFF) system.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is fitted with <\/span><b>advanced technology Radars<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Navigation and Communication Equipment, Sensor and Machinery capable of operating in tropical sea conditions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is exclusively deployed for <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/eez\/\" target=\"_blank\">Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ)<\/a> surveillance<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, maritime law enforcement, and search and rescue operations.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2198144&amp;reg=3&amp;lang=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PIB<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ICGS Vigraha is the Offshore Patrol Vessels of the Indian Coast Guard which is commissioned in  2021.
