{"id":76692,"date":"2025-12-06T13:18:17","date_gmt":"2025-12-06T07:48:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=76692"},"modified":"2025-12-06T15:08:09","modified_gmt":"2025-12-06T09:38:09","slug":"organization-for-security-and-cooperation-in-europe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/organization-for-security-and-cooperation-in-europe\/","title":{"rendered":"Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, foreign minister of Ukraine said at the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe that Ukraine wants &#8220;real peace, not appeasement&#8221; with Russia.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a dynamic organization that is dedicated to promoting <\/span><b>peace, stability, and security throughout Europe and Central Asia.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is the world\u2019s largest <\/span><b>regional security organization.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Origin: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The OSCE\u2019s origins date back to the early 1970s, to <\/span><b>the Helsinki Final Act<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (1975) and the creation of the <\/span><b>Conference on Security and Co-operation in Europe<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (CSCE), which during the Cold War served as an important multilateral forum for dialogue and negotiations between East and West.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>In 1994,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the CSCE was <\/span><b>renamed <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) to reflect these changes more accurately.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Member Countries:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It consists of <\/span><b>57 participating States<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in <\/span><b>North America, Europe and Asia<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
