font-size: 35px; font-style: inherit;\">Amrit Sarovar Mission<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Every Amrit Sarovar<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will have a <\/span><b>pondage area of at least 1 acre <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">with a <\/span><b>water holding capacity of about 10,000 cubic metre.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Every Amrit Sarovar will be<\/span><b> surrounded by trees <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">like Neem, Peepal, and Banyan, etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Every Amrit Sarovar will be a <\/span><b>source of generation of livelihoods<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by <\/span><b>using the water for different purposes<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> like irrigation, fisheries, duckery, cultivation of water chestnut, water tourism, and other activities.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Amrit Sarovar will also <\/span><b>act as a social gathering point<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in that locality.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>The site of Amrit Sarovars<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be<\/span><b> approved by special Gram Sabha,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> which will <\/span><b>also name Panchayat Partinidhi,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> who will <\/span><b>supervise the development of Amrit Sarovar <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">on its behalf<\/span><b>.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It focuses on<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">water conservation, people\u2019s participation, and proper <\/span><b>utilization of soil excavated<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from the water bodies <\/span><b>to boost infrastructure projects.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is based on the \u201c<\/span><b>Whole of Government\u201d approach <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">with the <\/span><b>participation from <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the <\/span><b>Ministry of Rural Development, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Ministry of Cultur<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>e<\/strong>, <\/span><b>Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Ministry of Environment, Forest &amp;
