Regional Dialogue"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About Indo-Pacific Regional Dialogue:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>IPRD is an apex level international annual conference of the Indian Navy.<\/li>\n<li>The idea of an annual IPRD was first conceptualised and conducted in 2018, as the apex level conference of the Indian Navy.<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0<strong>National Maritime Foundation is Navy\u2019s knowledge partner<\/strong>\u00a0and chief organizer of each edition of the event.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The theme of IPRD-2022<\/strong>\u00a0is the &#8216;Operationalising the Indo-Pacific Oceans Initiative&#8217;.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Objective:<\/strong>\u00a0To provide a platform to focus attention on the Indo-Pacific, as a maritime geographical-entity, while deliberating aspects of great relevance to regional geopolitics.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Previous sessions:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>The first two editions of IPRD were held in 2018 and 2019 respectively in New Delhi, however, IPRD 2020 was cancelled due to Covid-19.<\/li>\n<li>The third edition of IPRD was held in 2021 in online mode.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Permanent theme:<\/strong>\u00a0Review of India\u2019s opportunities and challenges in the Indo-Pacific region.<\/li>\n<li>It is focused on\u00a0<strong>seven interconnected spokes or pillars:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Maritime Security,<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Maritime Ecology,<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Maritime Resources,<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Disaster Risk-reduction and Management,<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Trade-Connectivity and Maritime Transport,<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Capacity-building and Resource sharing, and<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Science, Technology and Academic Cooperation.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>The six sessions of the IPRD-2022 are:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Weaving the Fabric of Holistic Maritime Security in the Indo-Pacific: Multilateral Options,<\/li>\n<li>Constructing Holistic-Security Bridges across the Western and Eastern Maritime Expanse of the Indo-Pacific,<\/li>\n<li>Building maritime Connectivity: Ports, Trade, and Transport,<\/li>\n<li>Capacity-building and Capability Enhancement Leveraging the Physical and Social Sciences,<\/li>\n<li>Practical approaches to a Regional Blue Economy,<\/li>\n<li>Disaster Risk-reduction and Management, Solutions for Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and Vulnerable Littoral States.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr
