{"id":78171,"date":"2025-12-16T13:10:43","date_gmt":"2025-12-16T07:40:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=78171"},"modified":"2025-12-16T13:10:43","modified_gmt":"2025-12-16T07:40:43","slug":"capacity-building-for-service-providers-cbsp-scheme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/capacity-building-for-service-providers-cbsp-scheme\/","title":{"rendered":"Capacity Building for Service Providers (CBSP) Scheme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Capacity Building for Service Providers (CBSP) Scheme Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since its inception in 2009-10, the Capacity Building for Service Providers (CBSP) Scheme has successfully trained a remarkable 643,000 individuals, resulting in over 84,000 participants securing placements within the industry. <\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Capacity Building for Service Providers (CBSP) Scheme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a <\/span><b>Central Government Scheme<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> designed to <\/span><b>develop the tourism<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> potential of India.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was launched by the <\/span><b>Ministry of Tourism (MoT).<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It operates as a comprehensive <\/span><b>skill development and certification framework<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> targeting both the <\/span><b>unorganised and organised sectors of India\u2019s tourism and hospitality sector.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under the Scheme, the Ministry of Tourism conducts <\/span><b>training programmes<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for the <\/span><b>tourism stakeholders across the country,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> including <\/span><b>urban, rural, and tribal areas.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>outcome <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of these training i<\/span><b>ncludes placements by institutes, self-employment, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><b>trainees opting for higher studies<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> such as diploma and degree courses in the tourism and hospitality sector.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>MoT implements <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the scheme through a <\/span><b>network of central, state, and private agencies<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, including the following:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">India Tourism Offices<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Institutes of Hotel Management (IHMs)<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Food Craft Institutes (FCIs)<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Indian Institute of Tourism &amp; Travel Management (IITTM)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">State Tourism Departments and Corporations<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) and <\/span><b>registered private training organisations<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under the scheme, <\/span><b>MoT provides financial assistance to participating institutes.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Key Training Programmes under CBSP:<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Hunar Se Rozgar Tak (HSRT): <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A programme focused on <\/span><b>skill-based employment <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">opportunities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Entrepreneurship Programme (EP): <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Designed to equip individuals with the skills required to establish their own ventures in the tourism sector.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Skill Testing &amp;
