{"id":78820,"date":"2025-12-20T12:29:47","date_gmt":"2025-12-20T06:59:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=78820"},"modified":"2025-12-20T13:26:44","modified_gmt":"2025-12-20T07:56:44","slug":"tide-2-0-scheme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/tide-2-0-scheme\/","title":{"rendered":"TIDE 2.0 Scheme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>TIDE 2.0 Scheme Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology informed the Rajya Sabha about the TIDE 2.0 Scheme.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About TIDE 2.0 Scheme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The \u201c<\/span><b>Technology Incubation and Development of Entrepreneurs 2.0<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (TIDE 2.0)\u201d Scheme was launched in the year 2019.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It promotes <\/span><b>technology-based entrepreneurship<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by providing <\/span><b>financial &amp; technical support to incubators <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">engaged in supporting ICT startups primarily engaged in using emerging technologies such as IoT, AI, Block-chain, Robotics etc.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Features of TIDE 2.0 Scheme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is implemented through <\/span><b>empowering 51 incubators<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in India and handholding close to 2000 tech start-ups <\/span><b>over a period of 5 years.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These selected incubators are located in the Institutes of <\/span><b>Higher Learning<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and premier R&amp;D organizations across the country.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These incubators provide startups with requisite expertise, industry linkages and ecosystem partnerships etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under TIDE 2.0, <\/span><b>Centres of Excellence in Intellectual Property Rights<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (CoE-IP) are also established to encourage or support Startups\/SMEs\/academia\/inventors <\/span><b>in the Electronics and IT domain.<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These CoE provide <\/span><b>various IP related services, awareness creation and training.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It complements other Government initiatives such as <\/span><b>GENESIS, <a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/samridh-scheme\/\" target=\"_blank\">SAMRIDH<\/a>, Startup India<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and sector-specific innovation programmes.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2206765&amp;reg=3&amp;lang=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PIB<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TIDE 2.0 Scheme promotes technology-based entrepreneurship by providing financial &#038; technical support to incubators.
