Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation, PRAGATI, recently marked a significant milestone with the successful conduct of its 50th meeting. <\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About PRAGATI Platform<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PRAGATI (<\/span><b>Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) is a distinctive, <\/span><b>integrated, and interactive platform<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> designed to both <\/span><b>resolve grievances <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of and to <\/span><b>monitor and review <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">key programmes <\/span><b>and projects of the Government of India,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> along with <\/span><b>projects highlighted by State Governments.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a robust system for bringing e-transparency and e-accountability with real-time presence and exchange among the key stakeholders.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was <\/span><b>launched <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">on March 25, <\/span><b>2015<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The system has been <\/span><b>designed in-house by the PMO team<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with the <\/span><b>help of the National Informatics Center (NIC).\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Through this system, the <\/span><b>Prime Minister<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> can<\/span><b> directly engage with concerned Central and State officials,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> supported by complete information and <\/span><b>up-to-date visual evidence from project sites.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The PRAGATI platform uniquely <\/span><b>brings together three modern technologies<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2014d<\/span><b>igital data management, video conferencing, and geospatial technology.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>PRAGATI Platform <\/b><b>Key Features<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a<\/span><b> three-tier<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> system <\/span><b>(PMO, Union Government Secretaries, and Chief Secretaries of the States)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the apex level, the <\/span><b>Prime Minister chairs PRAGATI review meetings with Chief Secretaries of States and Secretaries of Central Ministrie<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">s\/Departments to <\/span><b>resolve issues related to identified projects<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and schemes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The design is such that when PM reviews the issue,<\/span><b> he should have on his screen the issue <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">as well as the <\/span><b>latest updates and visuals <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">regarding the same.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Following the meetings, a <\/span><b>multi-tier follow-up mechanism ensures timely implementation of decisions.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Projects are monitored by the Cabinet Secretariat<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, while <\/span><b>schemes and grievances <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">are r<\/span><b>eviewed at the Ministry level<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> under continuous <\/span><b>oversight of the Prime Minister\u2019s Office (PMO).<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Issues <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to be flagged before the PM <\/span><b>are picked up from the available database <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">regarding public grievances, ongoing programmes, and pending projects.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The system will ride on, strengthen, and re-engineer the<\/span><b> databases of the CPGRAMS for grievances, Project Monitoring Group (PMG), and the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
