{"id":82608,"date":"2026-01-15T16:15:53","date_gmt":"2026-01-15T10:45:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=82608"},"modified":"2026-01-15T16:15:53","modified_gmt":"2026-01-15T10:45:53","slug":"export-preparedness-index-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/export-preparedness-index-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"Export Preparedness Index 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Export Preparedness Index 2024 Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, NITI Aayog released the Export Preparedness Index (EPI) 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Export Preparedness Index 2024<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a comprehensive <\/span><b>assessment of export readiness<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> across India\u2019s <\/span><b>States and Union Territories (UTs).<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It recognises the diversity of subnational economic structures and their critical role in advancing India\u2019s global trade ambitions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>first edition of the EPI<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was <\/span><b>published in August 2020<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and this is the 4th edition.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Framework and Coverage:<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is structured <\/span><b>around four pillars,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> further disaggregated <\/span><b>into 13 sub-pillars and 70 indicators. Four Pillars are:<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Export Infrastructure (20% Weightage)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Business Ecosystem (40% Weightage)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Policy and Governance (20% Weightage)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Export Performance (20% Weightage)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Classification of States and Union Territories: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">States and UTs have been categorised into <\/span><b>Large States &amp; Small States, North East States and Union Territories<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Within each category, they are further classified as<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Leaders:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> States\/UTs demonstrating relatively high export preparedness<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Challengers:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> States\/UTs with moderate preparedness and scope for improvement<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Aspirers:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> States\/UTs at early stages of export ecosystem development<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under EPI 2024, the following States and UTs have emerged as leading performers in their respective categories:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Leading Performers<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 Export Preparedness Index (EPI) 2024<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"3\"><b>Large States:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat,Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"3\"><b>Small States, North Eastern States &amp; Union Territories:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Nagaland, Dadra and Nagar Haveli &amp; Daman and Diu, Goa<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2214514&amp;reg=3&amp;lang=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PIB<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Export Preparedness Index is a comprehensive assessment of export readiness across India\u2019s States and Union Territories (UTs).
