They lead a solitary life and are active both during the day and at night.<\/li>\n<li>It is <strong>non-venomous<\/strong> and is generally considered harmless to humans.<\/li>\n<li>It is oviparous which means that they lay their eggs.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Distribution: <\/strong>The species is <strong>endemic to Asia<\/strong> and found in countries like Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia etc,<\/li>\n<li><strong>Conservation status:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>IUCN: <\/strong>Least concern<\/li>\n<li><strong>CITES:<\/strong> Appendix III<\/li>\n<li><strong>Wildlife Protection Act, 1972<\/strong>: Schedule II\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Key Facts about the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>There are <strong>Six Schedules<\/strong> in this act.
