It is an <\/span><b>anti-submarine rocket<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> which can combat submarines.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is fired from the onboard IRLs of naval ships.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was designed and developed by the DRDO\u2019s <\/span><b>Armament Research &amp; Development Establishment (ARDE)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Pune, in association with High Energy Materials Research Laboratory and Naval Science &amp; Technological Laboratory.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Features of Extended Range Anti-Submarine Rocket<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It has <\/span><b>twin-rocket motor configuration<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to meet a wide spectrum of range requirements with high accuracy and consistency.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The ERASR uses an indigenously developed <\/span><b>Electronic Time Fuze<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A total of 17 ERASRs were successfully <\/span><b>test evaluated at different ranges.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All the specified objectives of the trials such as Range performance, Electronic Time Fuze functioning and Warhead functioning were successfully demonstrated.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bharat Dynamics Limited, Hyderabad and Solar Defence&amp; Aerospace Limited, Nagpur are the Production Partners for ERASR Rockets.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With successful completion of User Trials, Indian Navy is expected to induct the ERASR System soon.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2143225\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><b>PIB<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Extended Range Anti-Submarine Rocket is designed for the Indigenous Rocket Launcher (IRL) of Indian naval ships to enhance underwater combat capabilities.
