{"id":84343,"date":"2026-01-27T13:18:41","date_gmt":"2026-01-27T07:48:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=84343"},"modified":"2026-01-27T15:17:53","modified_gmt":"2026-01-27T09:47:53","slug":"jeevan-raksha-padak-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/jeevan-raksha-padak-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"Jeevan Raksha Padak Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Jeevan Raksha Padak Awards Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the President of India has conferred the Jeevan Raksha Padak Series of Awards-2025 to 30 persons.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Jeevan Raksha Padak Awards<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is awarded to a <\/span><b>person for a meritorious act<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of human nature <\/span><b>in saving the life of a person.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Jeevan Raksha Padak Award is given in three categories, namely,<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Sarvottam Jeevan Raksha Padak: It<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is awarded for conspicuous courage in saving life under circumstances of very great danger to the life of the rescuer.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Uttam Jeevan Raksha Padam: It <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is awarded for courage and promptitude in saving life under circumstances of great danger to the life of the rescuer.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Jeevan Raksha Padak<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: It is awarded for courage and promptitude in saving life under circumstances of grave <\/span><b>bodily injury to the rescuer.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Jeevan Raksha Padak Awards Eligibility<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Persons of all walks of life are eligible for these awards.\u00a0 The award can <\/span><b>also be conferred posthumously.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is presented to the awardees by the respective Union Ministries\/Organizations\/State Government to which the awardee belongs.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Jeevan Raksha Padak Awards Features<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Its nominations are <\/span><b>invited annually<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from States\/UTs and Union Ministries.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The recommendations of the award are considered by the Awards Committee within a period of <\/span><b>two calendar years from the date of performance of the<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> act.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Final approval is given by the Prime Minister and the President of India.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Award:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The decoration of the award consists of a <\/span><b>Medal, Certificate<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, along with a one-time monetary allowance: <\/span><b>Sarvottam Jeevan Raksha Padak <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(\u20b92 lakh), <\/span><b>Uttam Jeevan Raksha Padam <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(\u20b91.5 lakh) and Jeevan Raksha (\u20b91 lakh).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>No other facility\/benefit<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in terms of any concession in Railways, Airfare etc. is provided by the Government.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsonair.gov.in\/president-murmu-honors-30-individuals-with-jeevan-raksha-padak-awards\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">News On Air<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jeevan Raksha Padak Awards is awarded to a person for a meritorious act of human nature in saving the life of a person.
