{"id":84525,"date":"2026-01-28T13:00:14","date_gmt":"2026-01-28T07:30:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=84525"},"modified":"2026-01-28T13:00:14","modified_gmt":"2026-01-28T07:30:14","slug":"pancham","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/pancham\/","title":{"rendered":"PANCHAM"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>PANCHAM Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the Union Minister of State for Panchayati Raj launched the PANCHAM \u2013 Panchayat Assistance and Messaging Chatbot.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About PANCHAM<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a digital tool developed in <\/span><b>collaboration with UNICEF.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Aim:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It is a flagship digital initiative aimed at <\/span><b>empowering Panchayat Elected Representatives and Functionaries.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is designed as a <\/span><b>digital companion for Panchayats,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> providing timely and contextual guidance, simplified workflows, and <\/span><b>easy access to information<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to support day-to-day governance and service delivery functions.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Features of PANCHAM<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Direct Connect:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It enables, for the first time, a <\/span><b>direct digital connect<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> between the <\/span><b>Government of India<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Elected Representatives and Panchayat Functionaries<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> across the country.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Language Support:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It is integrated with <\/span><b>BHASHINI and will support 22 Indian languages<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, enabling Panchayat representatives to interact with the platform in their preferred local language.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Citizen Access: Citizens would be able to access<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> PANCHAM through a QR-code-based entry mechanism.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It will <\/span><b>facilitate quicker decision-making<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, faster resolution of field-level issues, and stronger feedback loops between the grassroots and decision-making centers.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Two way communications: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0PANCHAM <\/span><b>facilitates two way communication<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and officials can send feedback, ask questions, and flag local problems directly to the ministry.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Information Dissemination:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The Ministry would be able <\/span><b>to directly disseminate circulars<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, advisories, key messages, and updates to Panchayat Elected Representatives and Functionaries.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source:<\/b> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2218679&amp;reg=3&amp;lang=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PIB<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PANCHAM is a digital tool developed in collaboration with UNICEF.
