In this context, the Chhattisgarh government has introduced a direct cash transfer scheme aimed at providing regular financial support to women, especially from economically vulnerable households.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Mahatari Vandana Yojana\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mahatari Vandana Yojana is a monthly cash assistance scheme launched by the Chattisgarh government in March 2024. It has been envisioned to ensure economic empowerment of women, provide them financial security, promote gender equality and strengthen the decisive role of women in the family. Around 70 lakh women will benefit from the scheme.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Mahatari Vandana Yojana Eligibility<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Any female resident of Chhattisgarh who is married and above 21 years of age as of January 1, 2024, is eligible for the benefits. These include widowed, divorced, and abandoned women.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Mahatari Vandana Yojana Benefits<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under the Mahatari Vandana Yojana, a monthly financial assistance of \u20b91,000 is provided to eligible married women in Chattisgarh through <a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/direct-benefit-transfer\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Direct Benefit Transfer<\/strong><\/a> (DBT).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under the scheme, women who are receiving less than \u20b91,000 per month from other pension schemes will be eligible for additional funds to ensure a minimum monthly benefit of \u20b91,000.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Other Schemes for Women Empowerment at State Level\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Schemes for women empowerment at the state level are as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ladli Behna Yojana in Madhya Pradesh, Mahalakshmi Scheme in Telangana, Kanya Sumangala Yojana in Uttar Pradesh, Shakti Fund in Odisha etc\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Other Schemes for Women Empowerment at Central Level<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Schemes for women empowerment at the central level are categorised into following :\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Economic &amp; Financial Empowerment<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>PM Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY):<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Cash support for pregnant and lactating women &#8211; \u20b95,000 in three installments for the first child and \u20b96,000 for the second child if it is a girl.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Mahila Samman Savings Certificate: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Small savings scheme for women<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Stand-Up India:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Bank loans for women entrepreneurs<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Education &amp;
