{"id":8509,"date":"2023-04-14T12:04:55","date_gmt":"2023-04-14T06:34:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=8509"},"modified":"2025-03-29T03:27:07","modified_gmt":"2025-03-28T21:57:07","slug":"exercise-orion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/exercise-orion\/","title":{"rendered":"Exercise Orion"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About Exercise Orion:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is a <strong>multinational exercise<\/strong> <strong>hosted<\/strong> <strong>by<\/strong> the French government.<\/li>\n<li>It is reportedly the <strong>largest ever multinational exercise being carried out by the French defence forces<\/strong> which have involved their <strong>Army, Navy and Air Force.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It includes ground troops, warships, aircraft carriers and combat aircraft and is meant to <strong>boost military cooperation and interoperability<\/strong> among participating nations.<\/li>\n<li>Besides the IAF <strong>and the FASF, Air Forces from Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, U.K. and U.S<\/strong>. would also be flying in this multilateral exercise.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>IAF contingent<\/strong> will include <strong>four Rafale aircraft, two C-17, two IL-78 aircraft<\/strong> and 165 air warriors.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>This would be the <strong>first overseas exercise for the IAF&#8217;s Rafale aircraft<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1)\u00a0What are Rafale fighter aircrafts?<\/h3>\n<p>The Rafale is a twin-jet fighter aircraft able to operate from both an aircraft carrier and a shore base.
