{"id":85467,"date":"2026-02-02T12:48:48","date_gmt":"2026-02-02T07:18:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=85467"},"modified":"2026-02-02T16:50:30","modified_gmt":"2026-02-02T11:20:30","slug":"divyangjan-kaushal-yojana","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/divyangjan-kaushal-yojana\/","title":{"rendered":"Divyangjan Kaushal Yojana"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Divyangjan Kaushal Yojana Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Union Minister of Finance announced the Divyangjan Kaushal Yojana and Divyang Sahara Yojana during the union budget 2026-2027.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Divyangjan Kaushal Yojana<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is launched for <\/span><b>persons with disabilities.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is aimed at training them for <\/span><b>\u201cdignified livelihood opportunities\u201d.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Financial Support:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It has been <\/span><b>allocated \u20b9200 crore<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for the upcoming fiscal.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under this yojana \u201cindustry-relevant, customised training specific to each divyang group\u201d will be provided for creating \u201cdignified livelihood opportunities\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Sectors Covered:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Information Technology, Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics (AVGC), Hospitality, and Food and Beverages, which offer \u201ctask-oriented and process-driven roles\u201d.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>About Divyang Sahara Yojana<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Financial Support:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u20b9100 crore has been allocated.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It supports <\/span><b>Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (ALIMCO) to scale up production of <\/span><b>high-quality assistive devices<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, deepen research and development and integrate advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, into product design and services.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It also strengthens <\/span><b>PM Divyasha Kendras<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and supports setting up of <\/span><b>Assistive Technology Marts<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as modern retail-style centres where Divyangjans and senior citizens can see, try and purchase assistive products.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><b>What is\u00a0 PM Divyasha Kendra?<\/b><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a unique initiative aimed at <\/span><b>providing integrated services under one roof<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2014including assessment, evaluation, counselling, distribution, and post-distribution care\u2014<\/span><b>for eligible Divyangjan (persons with disabilities) and elderly beneficiaries.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These centres are <\/span><b>being established through ALIMCO<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India),\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>ALIMCO<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is a Central Public Sector Undertaking under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source:<\/b> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2221393&amp;reg=3&amp;lang=2#:~:text\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PIB<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Divyangjan Kaushal Yojana is aimed at training them for \u201cdignified livelihood opportunities\u201d.
