It <\/span><b>combines elements of presidential democracy with parliamentary democracy.<\/b><\/p>\n<h2><b>Semi Presidential System Origin<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The semi-presidential system was formally <\/span><b>introduced in France in 1958<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> under the Fifth Republic.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Currently, several countries in the world follow a semi-presidential system of government. <\/span><b>Prominent examples<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> include France, Sri Lanka, Ukraine, Portugal, Haiti, Azerbaijan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Mauritania, Namibia, Lithuania etc<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Semi Presidential System Features<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><b>The features of Semi Presidential System include:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Dual Executive<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Executive Power is divided between the president and the prime minister.
