{"id":8660,"date":"2026-06-04T11:14:19","date_gmt":"2026-06-04T05:44:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=8660"},"modified":"2026-06-04T15:17:56","modified_gmt":"2026-06-04T09:47:56","slug":"about-vibrant-village-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/about-vibrant-village-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"Viksit Vibrant Village Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Viksit Vibrant Village Program Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs &amp; Sports, through Mera Yuva Bharat\u00a0 commenced the first phase of the Viksit Vibrant Village Program (VVVP) 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Viksit Vibrant Village Program<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a <\/span><b>youth-led initiative<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> aimed at strengthening grassroots engagement, fostering national integration, and promoting<\/span><b> sustainable development in India&#8217;s border villages.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Implementation:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It is being implemented in collaboration with <\/span><b>the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Key Features of Viksit Vibrant Village Program<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The programme will see <\/span><b>500 MY Bharat volunteers from across the country<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> engage directly with communities in strategically important border regions of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Ladakh.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Selection:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The volunteers were selected through a nationwide online quiz competition.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The programme will be implemented in <\/span><b>two phases.<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the first phase, 250 selected volunteers will <\/span><b>undertake immersive activities<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in <\/span><b>43 border villages,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> while another 250 volunteers will participate in the second phase across 50 additional villages.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is designed as a <\/span><b>seven-day residential programme,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the initiative offers young participants an opportunity to live in border villages and interact closely with<\/span><b> local communities, Panchayati Raj Institutions, district administrations and security forces.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It seeks to <\/span><b>provide firsthand understanding<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the <\/span><b>socio-economic conditions<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, cultural heritage, developmental needs and strategic importance of India\u2019s frontier regions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A significant component of the programme is the <\/span><b>promotion of the Nation First Challenge,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> a nationwide campaign encouraging responsible citizenship and sustainable lifestyle practices.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">MY Bharat volunteers will actively advocate <\/span><b>five key themes of the campaign:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> adoption of Swadeshi products, healthy cooking practices, public transport usage and fuel conservation, promotion of natural farming, and vocal support for local tourism.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source:<\/b> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2268315&amp;reg=3&amp;lang=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PIB<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Viksit Vibrant Village Program is a youth-led initiative aimed at strengthening grassroots engagement, fostering national integration, and promoting sustainable development in India&#8217;s border villages.
