text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/centrally-sponsored-scheme\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>Centrally Sponsored Scheme<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> implemented over the financial years <\/span><b>2022-23 to 2025-26.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Objective<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: <\/span><b>Comprehensive development <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of the 2,967 <\/span><b>villages in 46 blocks in 19 districts abutting the northern border<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the States of <\/span><b>Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Uttarakhand, and UT of Ladakh.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This will <\/span><b>help in encouraging people to stay in their native locations<\/b> <b>in border areas<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and reversing the outmigration from these villages, adding to improved security of the border.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The programme will <\/span><b>provide funds <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for the<\/span><b> development of essential infrastructure<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and the <\/span><b>creation of livelihood opportunities<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The programme envisages focused areas of intervention in the select villages for the creation of opportunities for<\/span><b> livelihood generation through promotion of tourism<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>cultural heritage, skill development<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>entrepreneurship<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and development of <\/span><b>cooperative societies,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> including agriculture\/horticulture, cultivation of medicinal plants\/herbs, etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Interventions also include <\/span><b>providing road connectivity<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to unconnected villages, <\/span><b>housing and village infrastructures, energy<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> including renewable energy, <\/span><b>television and telecom<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> connectivity.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Vibrant Village Action Plans <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">will be <\/span><b>created by the district administration<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with the help of Gram Panchayats, and <\/span><b>100% saturation of Central and state schemes<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be ensured.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There will be <\/span><b>no overlap with the Border Area Development Programme<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Vibrant Villages Programme-II (VVP-II)<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a <\/span><b>Central Sector Scheme<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (100% Centre funding) <\/span><b>approved<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by the Union Cabinet <\/span><b>during April 2025,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> furthering its commitment for the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047 for \u2018Safe, Secured &amp; Vibrant land borders\u2019.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It has a total outlay of \u20b96,839 crore.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Programme would help in the comprehensive development of the <\/span><b>villages located in <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the blocks abutting international land borders (ILBs), <\/span><b>other than the Northern border already covered under VVP-I.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With a total outlay of Rs.6,839 crore, the programme shall be implemented in select strategic villages in the States\/UTs of<\/span><b> Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Gujarat, J&amp;K (UT), Ladakh (UT), Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tripura, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal<\/b> <b>till the FY 2028-29.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;
