They lie between the <\/span><b>Brahmaputra Valley and the Assam-Arunachal border<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and are mainly covered with forests.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Dafla Hills<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>The Dafla (Daphla) Hills<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are a rugged hill range located along the <\/span><b>border of Assam and western Arunachal Pradesh<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in northeastern India.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They form <\/span><b>part of the eastern Himalayan foothills<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and rise steeply from the plains, with some peaks reaching great aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Dafla Hills are located along the<\/span><b> border of western Arunachal Pradesh and Assam,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with their southern slopes touching the Brahmaputra Valley plains near Tezpur and North Lakhimpur in Assam.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They are <\/span><b>bounded by the Aka Hills in the west and the Abor Range in the east,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> forming an important part of the northeastern hill system of the<\/span><b> Eastern Himalayan biodiversity hotspot<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and have dense forests with bamboo, orchids and evergreen trees; areas like <\/span><b>Sessa Orchid Sanctuary are famous for orchids.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wildlife includes<\/span><b> tigers, Asiatic black bears, capped style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The region is rich in birds, with <\/span><b>around 240 species<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, including the rare <\/span><b>Bugun liocichla<\/b><span
