{"id":87069,"date":"2026-02-10T12:34:43","date_gmt":"2026-02-10T07:04:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=87069"},"modified":"2026-02-10T12:58:25","modified_gmt":"2026-02-10T07:28:25","slug":"swavalambini-scheme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/swavalambini-scheme\/","title":{"rendered":"Swavalambini Scheme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Swavalambini Scheme Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship informed the Lok Sabha about the Swavalambini Scheme.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Swavalambini Scheme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a <\/span><b>woman Entrepreneurship Programme<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> which <\/span><b>empowers young women<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with the skills and confidence needed to <\/span><b>establish their own businesses.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It introduces a <\/span><b>structured, multi-stage training approach<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to help young women transition from ideation to successful enterprise creation.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It aims to cultivate an <\/span><b>entrepreneurial mindset among female students<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, equipping them with awareness of available support mechanisms, schemes, resources and networks essential for pursuing entrepreneurship as a career.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is implemented through <\/span><b>National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(NIESBUD), Noida and <\/span><b>Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (IIE), Guwahati.<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Programme Structure<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Target group:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> 1200 <\/span><b>female students<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from <\/span><b>Higher Educational Institutes<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (HEIs) and Universities<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (EAP): The female students undergo an introductory programme on <\/span><b>entrepreneurial awareness<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> through an entrepreneurial awareness programme.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Entrepreneurship Development Programme<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (EDP): Out of these 1200, 600 undergo this programme which covers business <\/span><b>aspects like skilling, finance, market linkages, compliance, and networking<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is followed by <\/span><b>21 weeks of mentorship<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and handholding support<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0to help participants translate their ideas into sustainable enterprises.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Support:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> MSDE will oversee the <\/span><b>execution, supervision, and monitoring<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the programme. <\/span><b>NITI Aayog<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will provide mentoring support, facilitate seed funding, and recognize successful entrepreneurs through the <\/span><b>Award To Reward (ATR) initiative.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleseDetailm.aspx?PRID=2225466&amp;reg=3&amp;lang=2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PIB<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Swavalambini Scheme is a women Entrepreneurship Programme which empowers young women with the skills and confidence needed to establish their own businesses.
