Maharaja Surajmal (1707-1763) was the <\/span>most prominent ruler of the Bharatpur kingdom in Rajasthan during the 18th century<\/b>. The <\/span>Hindu Jat Kingdom reached its zenith under Maharaja Suraj Mal<\/b>. He is known as the<\/span> \u201cPlato of the Jats\u201d<\/b> for his wisdom, diplomacy, and statesmanship.<\/span><\/p>\n

  • Maharaja Surajmal was <\/span>born in 1707 in the erstwhile kingdom of Bharatpur.<\/b><\/li>\n
  • He belonged to the\u00a0 <\/span>Sinsinwar Jat dynasty.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n
  • He was the <\/span>son of Badan Singh<\/b>, founder of Bharatpur State (Jat Kingdom of Rajasthan).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • Maharaja Surajmal <\/span>expanded and strengthened Bharatpur into a powerful kingdom<\/b>. Under his leadership, the <\/span>kingdom extended over present-day Rajasthan, Haryana, western Uttar Pradesh, and parts of Delhi, making it a significant regional power.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n
    • Maharaja Suraj Mal <\/span>captured strategically important towns such as Agra, Mathura, and Aligarh<\/b>. The strategic expansion of his kingdom made the Jat state a dominant force in North India during the 18th century, a period marked by the decline of the Mughal Empire and the rise of regional powers.<\/span><\/li>\n
