{"id":8820,"date":"2022-10-02T11:55:48","date_gmt":"2022-10-02T06:25:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=8820"},"modified":"2025-03-29T09:35:00","modified_gmt":"2025-03-29T04:05:00","slug":"nord-stream-pipelines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/nord-stream-pipelines\/","title":{"rendered":"Nord Stream pipelines"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Nord Stream 1 is a 1,224 km underwater gas pipeline running from Vyborg in northwest Russia to Lubmin in northeastern Germany via the Baltic Sea.<\/li>\n<li>The majority owned by the Russian energy giant Gazprom, it is the primary network through which gas reaches Germany.<\/li>\n<li>Most of the gas goes directly to Germany, while the rest travels west and southwards through onshore links to other countries and into storage caverns.<\/li>\n<li>The 1,200-km Nord Stream 2 pipeline was to run from Ust-Luga in Russia to Greifswald in Germany through the Baltic Sea and carry 55 billion cubic metres of gas per year.<\/li>\n<li>It was meant to run along with the Nord Stream 1 system.
