It was announced in 2016 and gained momentum through the Honey Mission launched by the Khadi and Village Industries Commission under the Khadi and Village Industries Commission Act 1956. India is among the world\u2019s top five honey producers. The honey output has grown by 242% while exports increased by 265% compared to 2005-06 levels. The sector supports crop pollination, improves agricultural productivity and strengthens rural livelihoods through low investment apiculture practices.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Sweet Revolution in India<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sweet Revolution promotes scientific apiculture to boost rural income and honey quality across states.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>National Beekeeping and Honey Mission<\/strong>: Launched in 2020 with \u20b9500 crore allocation under <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/atmanirbhar-bharat-abhiyaan\/\" target=\"_blank\">Atma Nirbhar Bharat<\/a><\/strong>, it supports structured beekeeping development
