{"id":8860,"date":"2022-10-02T04:53:43","date_gmt":"2022-10-01T23:23:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=8860"},"modified":"2025-03-29T09:48:55","modified_gmt":"2025-03-29T04:18:55","slug":"zhurong-rover","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/zhurong-rover\/","title":{"rendered":"Zhurong rover"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>About:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Since May 2021, Zhurong has been exploring Utopia Planitia, in Mars\u2019s northern hemisphere.<\/li>\n<li>Images from the rover\u2019s ground-penetrating radar found layered patterns under the surface, which are made of sedimentary rocks carried in by two major floods around 1.6 billion years ago.<\/li>\n<li>China&#8217;s\u00a0Zhurong rover landed\u00a0in the Utopia Planitia, a 2,000-miles-wide (3,300 kilometers) basin in the Northern Hemisphere of\u00a0Mars, in May 2021.<\/li>\n<li>Since then, the rover has been studying local geology, chemical composition of rocks, and local weather conditions using its six scientific instruments.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Zhurong has already completed its primary mission of 90 sols.
