{"id":8988,"date":"2022-10-04T09:34:44","date_gmt":"2022-10-04T04:04:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=8988"},"modified":"2025-03-29T10:33:55","modified_gmt":"2025-03-29T05:03:55","slug":"national-means-cum-merit-scholarship-scheme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/national-means-cum-merit-scholarship-scheme\/","title":{"rendered":"National Means cum Merit Scholarship scheme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is a Central Sector Scheme that was launched in 2008.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Objective:<\/strong>\u00a0Award scholarships to meritorious students of economically weaker sections to arrest their drop out at class VIII and encourage them to continue their education at secondary stage.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li><strong>Features:<\/strong>One lakh fresh scholarships are awarded to selected students of class IX every year and their continuation \/ renewal in classes X to XII for study in State Government, Government-aided and Local body schools under the scheme.
