Israel is one of India\u2019s top defence suppliers, particularly in advanced technologies such as missile systems, UAVs, radar systems and border surveillance equipment.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The two countries share strong intelligence cooperation and have consistently expressed a common position against terrorism.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Counter-terrorism collaboration has intensified over the years, reflecting shared security concerns.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Agriculture and Water Management<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Agricultural cooperation has emerged as a model of practical partnership.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Israel has supported the establishment of multiple Centres of Excellence in Indian states, focusing on horticulture, micro-irrigation, and precision farming. These initiatives have helped Indian farmers improve productivity and water-use efficiency.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Water conservation, drip irrigation, and desert farming technologies are key areas where Israel\u2019s expertise has benefited India.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Trade, Innovation and Technology<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bilateral trade has diversified beyond defence to include diamonds, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, electronics, and high-technology sectors.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From US$ 200 million in 1992 (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">comprising primarily of diamonds<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">), merchandise trade has diversified and reached a peak of US$ 10.77 billion\u00a0(<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">excluding defence<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) in FY 2022-23.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>In FY 2023-24 and FY 2024-25, the bilateral trade (<\/b><b><i>excluding defence<\/i><\/b><b>) was US$ 6.53 billion\u00a0and US$3.75 billion<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, respectively, witnessing a decline due to the regional security situation and trade route disruption.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Innovation and start-ups have become a major area of cooperation. Israel\u2019s reputation as a \u201cStart-Up Nation\u201d complements India\u2019s large digital ecosystem. Joint research initiatives, academic exchanges, and innovation funds have strengthened knowledge partnerships.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Convergence in West Asia<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">India and Israel share increasing strategic convergence in West Asia. While India continues to maintain balanced relations with Arab countries and Iran, its engagement with Israel has become more open and multidimensional.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">India\u2019s large diaspora presence and energy security interests in the Gulf region make regional stability a key concern. Both countries view peace and stability as essential for long-term development.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Key Outcomes of PM Modi\u2019s 2026 Visit<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prime Minister Modi\u2019s 2026 visit marked a new phase in bilateral ties. The two countries elevated their relationship to a \u201cSpecial Strategic Partnership for Peace, Innovation and Prosperity.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Overall, 27 outcomes were announced, including 17 pacts across multiple sectors.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Technology and Emerging Domains<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Technology was central to the visit.
