launched the country&#8217;s first State Innovation Mission (SIM) in Tripura.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About State Innovation Mission<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is part of the <\/span><b>approved <a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/atal-innovation-mission-aim\/\" target=\"_blank\">Atal Innovation Mission<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (AIM 2.0) programme, under the aegis of NITI Aayog\u2019s <\/span><b>State Support Mission<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (SSM).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is designed as a <\/span><b>long-term institutional mechanism<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to support States and Union Territories in building robust, inclusive, and context-specific innovation ecosystems aligned with national priorities and local strengths.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under SIM, AIM will work <\/span><b>closely with the Government of Tripura<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Design and implement a <\/span><b>long-term innovation strategy<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Strengthen policy frameworks<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and regulatory support<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Enable partnerships between <\/span><b>government, academia, industry, and civil society<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Facilitate peer learning and national-level collaboration<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Support startups with infrastructure, mentorship, and access to funding<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Mission emphasises <\/span><b>inclusion, regional balance, and capacity building across<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the entire innovation lifecycle \u2014 from school education to advanced entrepreneurship.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>What is Atal Innovation Mission?<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a flagship initiative set up by <\/span><b>the NITI Aayog in 2016<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Objective:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> To create and encourage an <\/span><b>environment of innovation and entrepreneurship<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> across schools, educational organisations, research institutes, and industries, including MSMEs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>AIM has two functions<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Promote entrepreneurship<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by encouraging innovators to become entrepreneurs through financial support as well as mentorship.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Promote innovation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by creating a platform where ideas are generated through like-minded individuals.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AIM has created four programs to support these functions:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Atal Tinkering Labs<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Atal Incubation Centres<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span
